Board is looking for an innovative Senior Business Analyst to lead and develop the business analysis function within the internal IT function of Board. They will be responsible for defining standards, methodologies and metrics for Business Analysis. They will directly contribute to the investigation and assessment of business processes and technology throughout Board, proposing and defining change to deliver greater levels of efficiency or new capabilities to the Business. This position will be based in our office in Madrid, Spain.

Responsibilities: 

  • Undertake the business analysis of all solutions, collaborating with all appropriate internal and external technology and business experts 
  • Lead and oversee the delivery of business analysis across all areas of IT 
  • Formalise and develop the business analysis function, defining methodologies, establishing standards and performance metrics, as well as training and mentoring wider team 
  • Undertaking a capability/capacity and demand assessment for Business Analysis 
  • Evaluating managed service options for Business Analysis to meet demand 
  • Contribute as requested to the development and management of the IT strategy, architecture, roadmap and policies/standards 
  • Ensure the existence, quality, accuracy and integrity of all business analysis artefacts, such as process maps, requirements templates & data flow diagrams. 
  • Directly support the supplier selection, business engagement and project implementation teams in providing insight/information for and evaluating proposals (internal and external) and developing business cases for all new technology investments as required 
  • Collaborate with business partnership, architecture, implementation and service delivery teams to define the scope of technical projects, directly supporting them in identifying and defining goals, risks, issues, and resource requirements 
  • Provide process/technical consultancy for application and infrastructure requirements, working across technology and business teams, ensuring a consistency of approach and adherence to technical design standards 
  • Work with other business and technology subject matter experts to define and deliver the IT strategy, architecture and roadmap 
  • Actively contributing to its continuous improvement and championing the department, its members and its relationships across the IT and the business

What We Look For: 

  • BA Accreditation (IIBA CCBA, CBAP or other) 
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills 
  • Proven track record of business analysis  
  • Extensive technical experience of producing process maps, analyses, solution definitions and analyses  
  • Experience of working as part of multi-skilled technical teams through the project life cycle, working successfully with infrastructure teams and 3rd party service providers 
  • Understanding and experience of project management methodologies and frameworks and change management processes 
  • Relevant experience of international programmes and projects 
  • Experience of managing product selection  
  • Extensive Technical expertise relating to system technology and data flows
