We are embarking on a strategic transition to establish a nearshore center to enhance efficiency, scalability and cost-effectiveness while maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

We are seeking a highly skilled Transition Manager to lead the establishment and operation of our nearshore center. The Transition Manager will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the transition process, from supplier selection, planning and implementation to ongoing management, ensuring a seamless integration of nearshore operations into our existing business model.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning:
  • Develop a comprehensive transition strategy outlining goals, timelines, resource requirements, and key milestones.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align transition objectives with overall business objectives and ensure buy-in across the organization.
2. Vendor Selection and Management:
  • Identify and evaluate potential nearshore partners/vendors based on criteria such as expertise, capabilities, cultural fit, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Negotiate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) with selected vendors and oversee vendor performance throughout the transition process.
3. Team Building and Management:
  • Recruit, onboard, and train a team of nearshore employees, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to meet requirements
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, promoting open communication, knowledge sharing, and professional development opportunities.
4. Process Implementation:
  • Design and implement standardized processes and workflows for nearshore operations, ensuring alignment with existing business processes and industry best practices.
  • Establish quality assurance mechanisms to monitor and continuously improve performance metrics, such as efficiency, productivity, and service levels.
5. Change Management:
  • Facilitate change management activities to minimize disruption and resistance during the transition period, including communication plans, stakeholder engagement, and training programs.
  • Proactively identify and address any challenges or barriers to successful implementation, leveraging change management methodologies and best practices.
6. Risk Management:
  • Identify potential risks and dependencies associated with the transition process and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables.
  • Monitor risk factors throughout the transition lifecycle and implement contingency plans as needed to ensure project success.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience 5+ years in project management, in transition management or outsourcing/offshoring initiatives.
  • Experience transitioning R&D teams, professional services and operations teams to nearshore centres and collaborating with functional leaders.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and drive consensus towards common goals.
  • Demonstrated expertise in vendor management, contract negotiation, and performance evaluation.
  • Knowledge of relevant technologies and tools for project management, process optimization, and remote collaboration.
  • Experience nearshoring software businesses highly advantageous
