Board is looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Solution Architect to join our IT team and lead our organization’s technology strategy and ensure alignment with business goals. The Solution Architect will play a critical role in designing and implementing comprehensive technology solutions that drive innovation, efficiency, and competitive advantage. This position requires a deep understanding of business needs, emerging technologies, and architectural best practices within SaaS provider environment. This position will be based in our office in Madrid, Spain.

Responsibilities: 

  • Define and document the overall solution architecture, considering long-term business objectives and scalability 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (including executives, business leaders, and IT teams) to comprehend their needs and requirements 
  • Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and platforms for strategic solutions 
  • Develop and maintain architectural standards, best practices, and guidelines 
  • Ensure that solutions meet performance, scalability, and security requirements 
  • Provide technical guidance and support to IT teams during solution implementation 
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues related to strategic solutions 
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of solutions and their components 
  • Prioritize the technical vision and strategy, aligning it with business objectives 
  • Assess technical solutions and verify their alignment with business needs 
  • Seamlessly integrate new solutions with existing systems and technologies 
  • Drive innovation by exploring emerging technologies and their potential impact on the organization 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives 
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders 
  • Hands on, the solution architect will be required to act as a ‘Project or Programme Architect’ on a projects  
  • Integration design, delivery and governance  
  • Own integration platform and API capabilities   
  • Responsible for non-functional requirements 

What We Look For: 

  • 7+ years of professional Information Technology experience in solutioning, designing, development, and delivering systems 
  • 5+ years of hands-on solutions architecture experience with a focus on strategic planning and enterprise-wide solutions
  • Integration technology, platform and API solution experience 
  • Knowledge of Application architecture, Design methodologies across multiple platforms. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (facilitation, negotiation, conflict resolution) at all levels 
  • Ability to translate technical ideas/designs to multiple audiences, including Executives. 
  • Thorough understanding of and experience with multiple SDLC / Agile methods. 
  • Team player. Proven ability to work effectively within a international organization that operates using a matrix organization 
  • Ability to communicate trade-offs and transactional states with technical and business teams
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills 
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF) are a plus
